Blossom Bash & Fireworks in the Park

When: 4:00pm - dusk

  Passions that Bloom Youth Competition Winners will be announced between the music acts during Blossom Bash (around 8:00pm)

Where: Memorial Park, Kentville

Where to Park: Street parking; carpool recommended.

Memorial park is blocked off for the evening. Only Authorized personnel allowed entrance in Memorial park.

Children's Parade

When: 10:00 am; entries need to arrive, register and line up by 9:00am -  applications available HERE

Where: One way street loop around Kentville. 

Where to Park: The parade route will be blocked off from 7:30 am onward; parking is available on side streets along the parade routes and other non-private parking lots. Please check road signs and permissions before parking. Parking is not permitted within Center Square or behind town hall or along Main Street.   Note that Commercial Street between Kentville and New Minas will be closing at 12pm to all traffic for Grand Street Parade.

Where to Sit: Anywhere on either side of the loop, not blocking the exit from town hall. The parade will enter between town hall and Envie Studios and exit on the opposite side of town hall and the empty lot. Sitting in front of town hall will not give you a view of the parade passing by. 

What To bring: A chair and umbrella (sun or rain), $$ to spend at the vendors, entertainment and 50/50 draw, a good spirit to cheer on the kids!

Carnival For Kids

When: 11am- 1pm

Where: Center Square, Kentville and the adjacent parking lot between Valley Stove & Cycle & Lawtons. 

Where to Park: The parade route will be blocked off from 7:30 am onward; parking is available on side streets along the parade routes and other non-private parking lots. Please check road signs and permissions before parking. Parking is not permitted within Center Square or behind town hall or along Main Street.  Note that Commercial Street between Kentville and New Minas will be closing at 12pm to all traffic for Grand Street Parade.

What To bring: A chair or umbrella (sun or rain), $$ to spend at the vendors, entertainment and 50/50 draw, camera to take photos with your favorite super/heroes, a great attitude and PATIENCE, line up can get long as every vendor and activity is free at carnival for kids!

Black Women In Excellence Vendor Market

When: 11 am-4:30 pm

Where:  Center Square, Kentville 

Where to Park: The parade route will be blocked off from 7:30 am onward; parking is available on side streets along the parade routes and other non-private parking lots. Grand Street Parade

When: 1pm-3:30pm (approx)

Where: Starts at Cornwallis River Crossing  and ends at Memorial Park

Where to Park: The connector road between Commercial St and Belcher Street will be blocked off from 7:30 am onward; Commercial Street into Kentville will be blocked off from 12:00pm until the parade ends.  Parking is available on side streets along the parade routes and other non-private parking lots. Please check road signs and permissions before parking. Parking is not permitted within Center Square or behind town hall or along the main parade road.

What To bring: A chair, $$ to spend at the vendors along the parade route, entertainment and 50/50 draw, camera and your waving arm with a big SMILE!

Where: Louis Millett Centre, New Minas

Where to Park:  Louis Millett parking lot.   Note: this is a 19+ event with a cash/card bar - please be safe and Don't Drive Impaired.   Cars can be left overnight at the Louis Millett Centre until Sunday, if needed.  

What To bring:  Your phattest nineties 'fit,  $$ for the bar,  and your hottest boy band dance moves!

Where To Park: Parking is available off Sherman Belcher Road, and along Sherman Belcher Road.  Note:  NO access to the car show from Saxon Street for the general public. 

What To bring: A chair, $$ to spend at the vendors and 50/50 draw, camera, sunblock, your vote for the best vehicles in each class.
